Anamur is the most southern city of the Turkish Mediterranean Sea coast close to Alanya. Famous for its banannas and peanuts. The rather quietly small city is built directly at the coast. In the nature around the city you can find bananas plantations. Together with the Taurus mountains give these plantations a wonderful picture. The actual attraction of Anamur is: Mamure Kalesi, a medieval fort of the old cross knights. You can see The towers of Mamure Castle even miles away from the beautiful sandy beach. The first parts of the fort were built in the 12th century. You can make an interesting walk through the impressive fort. From the special observation posts you have a stunning view over the whole place.
