Next stop is Blue Mosque; This grand bubble of masonry,one of the great and defining features of Istanbul s
skyline,was constructed 1617 by Sultan Ahmet I,who was not only driven by a desire to leave behind an
imperial namesake mosque,but was also determined to build a monument to rival the Ayasofya.The next stop
is Hippodrome;center of sportive events (chariot races , athletics) and political activities of the old city.
See the serpent column, Obelisk ,Million (or Milion) Stone,Fountain of Wilhelm II in Hippodrome.
Completing the tour with Grand Bazaar,the oriental shopping mall of the souveniers.
You shall be picked up from the airport,hotel or your cruise ship port in Istanbul.
