Ephesus & Sirince will show you all the ruins in the ancient city of Ephesus then take you to the lovely town of Sirince to show the village life in Turkey.Artemis was the Greek goddess, the virginal huntress and twin of Apollo, who replaced the Titan Selene as Goddess of the Moon.The ancient temple that was built around 650 BC to the cult of Artemis, was constructed on a site already sacred to the Anatolian Mother Goddess, Cybele. The temple was funded from the Kıng of Lydia’s wealth and marshy ground was selected for the building site as a precaution against future earthquakes. The temple attracted merchants, kings, and sightseers, many of which donated jewelery and other treasures to Artemis and her temple.This is a beautiful village and is part of the Turkish-Greek culture as of the 1920''''s, after the Independence War, people exchange between Greek and Turkish and all those typical Greek houses received the local layout inside. There is also a nice Orthodox church. All the streets are narrow in the village and they belong to the women who work hard trying to sell handcrafts of all kinds and olive oil. Another attraction of Sirince is its wine as it’s supposed to be devine. During the tour you will be able to browse through the stalls and shops, view the Byzantine church. You can sample the local wine and stop for a cup of Turkish coffee. You can also have a local fortune teller will predict your future by reading the coffee grounds in your cup.
